I hope you're enjoying the summer flying. AirVenture is now in the history books. It's time for our August Chapter Gathering. Please join us.
Last year the Cedar Valley Powered Parachute group joined us for an evening of outdoor discussion & learning about their brand of flying. It was so much fun we decided to do it again. The PPC pilots will set up their aircraft in the circle by the front door. We will bring some tables & chairs so we can set up outside.
When: Wednesday August 21, 2019
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Where: 1185 Mike Jense Parkway, Hangar B
Provo UT 84601-7776
Cost: Bring a dish to pass or suggested $5 donation
As usual we will begin with a Potluck dinner. Please bring something to share—side dish, chips, fruit, dessert, drink, etc. or a suggested $5 donation.
Our guest speaker for the September Gathering (September 18th) will be NASA astronaut and Space Shuttle member Kent Rominger. This should be an amazing evening with stories of space travel and incredible photos from the Space Shuttle. And perhaps he'll tell us a little about the current project he's working on.

"We would love to have your entire chapter come visit for the Rotary Fundraiser Fly-in Event to be held in Farmington, NM. The pilots will eat for free and their passengers can eat for ½ price ($5 for an adult and $2.50 for children ages 6-12). We will have the usual gift packages and will be offering opportunities for golfing, ATV tours, etc. We will provide contact information for those activities in the future. We will also give each pilot information and a flash drive with audio information so that he or she can conduct a self-guided air tour of the old Chaco/Anasazi road and surrounding historical sites.
"We are interested in reaching young people for aviation. We would appreciate as many as your pilots who are Young Eagle qualified to offer those flights at our event. We are asking other EAA Chapters to do the same. Once we have commitments, we will advertise the availability of the flights."
